Whistleblowing

Whistleblowing

Our whistleblowing policy is an important part of our safeguarding procedures. It means staff are encouraged and expected to speak up if they have concerns about a child’s safety, professional conduct, policies not being followed or anything that could put children at risk.
Our management team operate an open-door policy, so staff never have to wait for a supervision meeting to raise a concern.
Concerns are taken seriously, handled fairly and confidentially, and staff who speak up are supported and should never be treated differently for raising a genuine concern.
If a concern involves a member of management or the DSL, our policy also provides clear steps for escalating the concern further, including contacting the appropriate external safeguarding agencies where necessary.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and we believe creating a culture where people feel confident to speak up is essential to keeping children safe. 💛
