Operation Encompass

Operation Encompass is a safeguarding partnership between the police and educational settings. It helps ensure that when the police attend a domestic abuse incident involving a child, relevant information can be shared with the child’s education or early years setting.

This means that where appropriate, we can be made aware that a child may have experienced or been exposed to a domestic abuse incident at home. This allows us to provide the right support, care and understanding when the child comes into nursery. 💛

Our management team are trained to respond appropriately, maintain confidentiality and put the child’s wellbeing at the centre of any support we provide.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and we are committed to making sure our children feel safe, supported and listened to every day. 🛡️💛
